CRJFA strives to maximise participation levels for both girls and boys. Initiatives CRJFA has adopted over the years to achieve this, include not recording results and keeping ladders, grading similar teams into the same divisions, reducing team sizes and minimising travel where appropriate.
In 2012 CRJFA will have over 360 teams playing in competitions ranging from Under 6 to under 12 for boys and girls. CRJFA is compliant with the required game formats of Football Federation Australia’s Small Sided Football (SSF) project.
CRJFA works on the developing the skill level of both players and coaches. With the assistance of Football Federation Tasmania CRJFA offers coaching courses to improve the knowledge and ability of school and club coaches. CRJFA also offers very successful player clinics, mainly during the June school holidays, where children can experience different coaching styles in an enjoyable environment.
Player development programs are run in Tasmania by licence Skills Acquisition Program (SAP) providers.
